Super Bugs Bunny McDonald's

McDonald's Happy Meals in 1991 came with an authorized parody of DC Super Heroes characters; in this case Bugs Bunny was a parody of Superman aka Super Bugs. Bugs came with a snap-on super-suit and a mini comic book. Also on the same collection they had Daffy Duck as Bat-Duck, Petunia Pig as Wonder Pig and the Tazmanian Devil as Taz-Flash. Big thanks to Scott Gandell for letting me take a picture of his Looney Tunes display.

In 1977 Pizza Hut ran a DC Comics promotion, reprinting two issues each of their most recognized characters: Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. These comics are fairly complete reprints of the originals from the 1950’s-including some of the ads but replacing most of them with Pizza Hut's.

From 1985 to 1988 Burger king had a Super Powers promotion based on Kenner's Super Powers action figures collection.. Here we have the four different boxes given away with the kid's Meal Pack. With artwork by Howard Bender and Dick Giordano (Correct me if I'm wrong). Really awesome stuff!!

This figure was given out at McDonald's in their Happy Meals in 2007. Seven different pvc figures based on the Legion of Superheroes animated series: Brainiac 5, Lighting Lad, Mano, Superman, Tharok, Timber Wolf & Validus. Each figure comes in collector friendly packaging and a trading card.

Superman Burger King 2003

In 2003, with the success of the Justice League tv series playing on the Cartoon Network; Burger King offered in their Kids Club meals a collection of eigth toys wich included Superman, Batman, Hawkgirl, Flash, Green Lantern, The Martian Manhunter, Wonder Woman and The Javelin7.

Their offered toy was Superman flying on top on an asteroid and a mini comic book with a Superman adventure.

The artwork for this mini comic book was done by Christopher Jones, here are a couple of samples.

Due to the success of the Cartoon Network's Justice League, Jack in the box offered 14 different figurines on their kid's meals in 2004. The collection consisted in the following figures: Superman, Lex Luthor, Batman, The Joker, Wonder Woman, Cheetah, Green Lantern, Star Saphire, Hawkgirl, The Shade, The Flash, Copperhead, The Martian Mahunter and The Ultra Humanite.

To activate Superman's action in this figurine all you have to do is press the button on his back and to activate his heat vision beams.

Lex Luthor does not have an action, all you can do is remove his power armor.

This Superman "figure" came free with the purchase of two boxes of The Flintstones Post cereal back in 2004. More than a figure is a "mini-statue" of Superman based on the Justice League cartoon from the Cartoon Network.

General Mills had a DC Comics promotion in their Cheerios cereal boxes in 1977. In order to get the mail-away premium, you had to send the order form on the side of the box plus $1.25 for shipping.

The premium was a Magnetic Dart Game with images of four Super-Villains; Lex Luthor, The Penguin, The Cheetah and The Joker.
